Tulalip Rapper – “Native and Proud of It”

Tulalip Rapper – “Native and Proud of It”

To his family, he's known as Kisar Jones-Fryberg, but in the hip-hop scene, he goes by Komplex Kai. This Native rapper reps the Tulalip Tribes to the fullest, all while throwing down deep lyrics over a dope beat. Some have even referred to him as the Native American “Tupac”, but we'll leave that up to you to decide.

Here's one of his more popular videos that he posted on social media last December. This song focuses on the #NoDAPL issue and a portion of the proceeds went to Standing Rock.

And a couple more I thought y'all might dig:

Komplex Kai – About the Rez

Some have called this the Tulalip anthem.

I can see why super catchy after the first listen!

As far as new music goes, this is his latest single “Still”

His new album will be released later this summer, so be on the lookout for that. But in case you're looking for something fresh, Komplex Kai hosts “Freestyle Fridays” on his YouTube channel every week (www.youtube.com/user/komplexkai2009/videos).

The song says everything. But as for me. I see two sides of the coin.
There are pros and cons of the oil pipeline. I’m for it. But I’m against it also.
