For our www.powwows.com readers, many of you are learning that our powwow dancers come from unique and diverse backgrounds, which sometimes make their personal stories very compelling.
As you listen to Kayla's interview above, you'll find that she's charismatic, has tons of depth and uses the powwow arena for personal healing. Most people would assume that the Jingle dress dance would better suit her because of the specific healing prowess of that dance but yet, she chooses the butterfly dance (aka women's fancy dance) to express herself and help lift her soul. And as we watch her dance, her enjoyment becomes ours and we become lifted too, thanks Kayla!
Also, if you're in the area states of – Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming & Montana, Kayla's family will be hosting a dance special at the 47th Annual Idaho State University (ISU) Powwow on April 1st, 2017.
