Let’s Eat! National Indian Taco Championship

Celebrating 10 years of good eats! If you're in the Northern Oklahoma area you can check out the 10th annual National Indian Taco Championship this Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Wouldn't you like to be a judge in this competition? Well you can! Visitors can pay $5 for the chance to help judge the Indian tacos. There are two ways to participate as a judge – sign up and for $5 you can be a Preliminary Judge or sign up to be a People’s Choice Award Judge. Limited spaces available so sign up early for this judging event. Winners from these heats will participate in the final round to win $1,500 and claim title as winner to the 2014 National Indian Taco Championship.

The event will also host a dance competition. Prize money will be awarded for 1st – $300, 2nd – $200 and 3rd place – $100 in each of the following categories: Age 16 and over, Men’s Straight, Men’s Fancy, Women’s Cloth, and Women’s Buckskin. Children’s Exhibition will begin at 11:00am. There will also be a Drum competition: $1500 winner take all.
