Nelly Furtado New Video Features Native American Dancers

“Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)” is a song by Canadian recording artist Nelly Furtado. The song, produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, is the lead single from her first English-language album in six years, The Spirit Indestructible. The song was released via digital download on April 17, 2012, before being issued physically in Germany on May 11. A preview of the track was uploaded to Furtado's official YouTube account on April 9, 2012.

According to Furtado's official Twitter account, the music video for “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)” was filmed on April 5, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Photos of the video shoot surfaced online shortly after filming, including images of Furtado on stilts. Furtado also revealed via her Twitter account that there will be three different edits of the video. A behind-the-scenes video was uploaded on Furtado's YouTube account on April 28, 2012. The clip sees Furtado practising with world champion Native American hoop dancers and choosing outfits for the video with her stylist. It was directed by director Little X, who previously worked with her on the video for ‘Promiscuous'. The video premiered on May 3, 2012 in Much Music and on May 7, 2012 on VEVO.

    The song and action is good – to bad the video editor CHOPPED it up so DAMNED much one cannot enjoy it or even SEE IT.

    It was a nice video…but, got me dizzy! Too much going on…it would have been better to put more time on the dancers…too much camera moving here and there!
