Native Heritage Month with A Tribe Called Red
A Tribe Called Red in San Francisco

This past week, First Nations Electric Music Trio, “A Tribe Called Red” , made a pit stop in San Francisco, California., to watch a tribute video made about them at the 40th Annual American Indian Film Awards.  A Tribe Called Red have niched themselves a piece of the music market by blending powwow and contemporary electronic dance music.

The group consists of three DJs: Ian “DJ NDN” Campeau (of the Nipissing First Nation), Tim “2oolman” Hill (Mohawk, of the Six Nations of the Grand River), and Bear Witness (of the Cayuga First Nation).
