Indians Won’t Have Chief Wahoo as Primary Logo Anymore

The Cleveland Indians are changing their primary logo from Chief Wahoo to the block letter C. While the Wahoo logo still will be seen on hats and jerseys, it seems as if the organization could slowly be moving towards taking Wahoo out permanently. That isn't such a bad idea to do gradually, as opposed to abruptly taking away something fans have identified with for decades.

With the Atlanta Braves and Washington Redskins also under fire for their team names and mascots, it's an issue that's not going away, so don't expect the Indians to hold onto Wahoo for too long. It will be a good look once it's gone for good.
