26 Perfect Pictures from Paradise Pow Wow

The 2016 Paradise Pow Wow was held September 10th and 11th on the grounds of the Gold Nugget Museum in Paradise, California. All proceeds from the pow wow go to the Katie Prosser Memorial Fund, a scholarship that was created to encourage Native American students to pursue careers in the health care field.

The Paradise Pow Wow staff included:

MC: Val Shadowhawk
AD: Craig Hackett
Head Man: Buddys Fallsrock (Pit River, Oglala Lakota)
Head Woman: (Sat) Maggie Littlejohn-Dean (Yaqui, Cherokee), (Sun) Myria Casada-Tejon (Wintun, Apache, Paiute)
Host Drum: Stronghold Singers
Photographer: Paula Schultz

Once again photographer Paula Schultz has shared with us some beautiful pictures from the pow wow. Please enjoy!

Great pictures Paula!

The pow wow committee was honored to have the head staff and drums express their devotion to their Native American heritage by carrying on ancestors' traditions and extending that knowledge to future generations. They would also like to thank the many vendors for showing their Native American artistry and exquisite craftworks.

The pow wow committee worked very hard towards making this a successful event. They hope everyone enjoyed the event and hope you will join them again next year, Sept. 16th & 17th, 2017.
