Hello everyone! We're back once again with our annual gift guide.
For most of us this year, Mother’s Day will be celebrated a little differently. With most of the nation on stay-at-home orders, we might not be able to make an in-person visit to our moms, grandmas, and other family members for this special day.
But, that doesn’t mean we can’t still honor and thank them for all of their support over the years. We can still send a card, call, or send a special gift through the mail.
To help inspire you, I’ve rounded up some gift ideas I think the wonderful women in your life will enjoy.
All moms deserve a spa day, but especially this year. We have moms on the frontlines right now, moms working from home, moms becoming homeschool teachers overnight, all while trying to keep the household running smoothly.
Give Mom a much-needed break and let her relax!

Straight from the Navajo Nation comes a soap that smells like fresh cut roses with rose petals infused into it! “My great-grandma Roseanne used to have a beautiful rose bush in her front yard and this soap just reminds me of how those rose bushes use to smell! The rose petals inside the soap bring a beautiful aesthetic to the bar with an amazing lather as well.” Comes in a 3 oz. bar size.
Check out their other scents as well!
Mom will need some nice towels after her spa treatment. Check out this adorable hummingbird print from Coast Salish artist Nicole La Rock. Set includes one bamboo face towel (16″x16″) and one hand towel (16″x28″).

If your mom doesn’t get to see all her favorite smiling faces as often as she likes, make sure you send her a bunch of photos to tide her over. Even better, put them in a really nice frame, like this one from Shumakolowa. This frame is designed for a 4” x 6” print and measures 7” by 8¾”.

Simply gorgeous and made with love! This hand-crafted piece of jewelry is made with wampum from fresh uncooked shell that the artist harvests from the Pawtuxet estuary region of Narragansett Bay.
“The method I use to give my wampum the high mirror like finish which is essentially the same process that was handed to me from my mother and can only be accomplished by hand finishing and not by mass produced tumbling. When tumbled the surface of the shell or stone is imperfect because the aggregate wares it imperfectly causing unevenness on the microscopic level and so the light when reflected is scattered and causes an unsharp finish. The shell I use is uncooked because when the quahog is cooked to open it, it loses its rich color, and creates hairline fractures which weakens it.”
You can always count on high-quality and unique gifts from Beyond Buckskin! This gift set includes their Miigis Shell Bracelet, Shell drop earrings, and large zipper pouch with wristlet. The bracelet features a cowry shell dipped in silver on an adjustable bracelet. The earrings measure 2.5″ long, and the pouch features an original ribbon skirt design by Judy Azure. The large bag measures 12″x8″. Includes jewelry pouch and jewelry box.
Proudly made in traditional Coast Salish territory on Canada’s west coast! These handwoven beaded earrings are made with Japanese delica beads. Finished with raw brass elements. Measures .75” wide, and 4” long.

Last but not least, here’s something that we’re all needing these days.
If you’re going to wear a cloth mask, might as well make it a fashionable one. Plus, a lot of these native artisans are also donating masks to worthy communities, charities, and hospitals. Make sure you check their website for availability. They're doing this without the help of big factories, so please be patient!
