  31. Elo Janis says:

I recently found this site and about lost it!! I haven’t heard these tunes in years. Listening to them now brings tears to my eyes and allows me to relive memories of growing up with my beautiful Unchi with her instilling our values, traditions and pride into my being.
I spoke to my mom yesterday and told her how good I felt when I heard these songs to which she replied “It’s because this is who you are and it only takes hearing them again to make you realize how important our culture is”.
When I listen to ‘white music’, it is only background noise but when our music is playing it makes me feel alive. I see my Unchi’s face smiling down upon me from heaven and I remember her wisdom and realize how lucky I am to have such a beautiful culture and heritage.

I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times but it still just says it’s “loading” when I press “play”. I paid .99 for this app, not much, but I do expect it to work for longer than a half hour for a dollar!

Oki, i started listening 3 days ago. I believe my health is strengthening. I used to be part of POW WOWS considerably more than in past years. My spirit has been fighting to keep me strong. Medical doctors cannot help me (in past 3 years), the medication have been stealing my soul(that is how i can explain it) Ive started burning sweet grass regularly ( past 3 days) My commonlaw is going to help me get to a sweat. I believe i was strongest when i was around people that were practising.
People i need to see again are from Piikani Nation, Brocket,Alberta. (Especially a group of Boys who are men now that were the best volleyball team in Southern Alberta years ago. I have the most wonderful common law wife (Loretta), thankyou for the music and your spirituality!!

    Pinatoyi
