Taboo debuts video for new song ‘Stand Up/Stand N Rock’

Taboo, a solo Hip Hop artist as well as a member of the Black Eyed Peas, has been very vocal about his support of Standing Rock and the NoDAPL movement. He recently played at Standing Rock for a benefit concert and now debuts a new song dedicated to the cause. “Stand Up/Stand N Rock” features Native musicians and allies such as actress Shailene Woodley, Tony Duncan on flute, Drezus, Supaman and a whole bunch more!

The video features behind the scenes footage of making the song, as well as footage from the North Dakota protest. Take a look below:

People cautiously celebrated the Army Corps of Engineers's announcement over the weekend that denies a permit for the construction of a key section of the Dakota Access Pipeline that would cross under Lake Oahe. That does not mean that Energy Transfer Partners will heed this announcement, in fact they released their own statement today saying they are “fully committed to ensuring that this vital project is brought to completion and fully expect to complete construction of the pipeline without any additional rerouting in and around Lake Oahe. Nothing this Administration has done today changes that in any way.”

Keep your eyes open folks, this ain't over yet. Thanks to Taboo and other celebrities for keeping this topic in the news.
