During our recent Ag and Art Tour trip, we visited the Native American Studies Center in Lancaster, South Carolina. The Center boasts an impressive collection of Catawba pottery. While exploring the Center, we came across an interesting set of posters.
Published by The Episcopal Council of Indian Ministries – Oklahoma Field Office, the posters are quite striking and attention grabbing. The headlines on the posters do a great job of telling the true story of Christopher Columbus. Working in a city named for Columbus, I am always on the look out for ways to help enlighten people to the horrors Columbus unleashed on the Native people he “discovered”. These definitely do that!
What do you think of the posters?
If anyone knows the full story of these posters, please let us know! Are there more?
