At this week’s live event, we talked to the filmmaker and star actress of a new indigenous film, Bright Eyes.
The story chronicles a young woman of the Omaha tribe who overcame her struggle with shyness and ended up speaking out against injustice. Her efforts led to the first time a Native American was seen as a person in a court of law in the United States! The director, Jerry Thompson, hopes to raise the money to release Bright Eyes to the world.
