Anti-Redskins Ad to Air During NBA Finals

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation of California has paid for an anti-Redskins advertisement to run in seven major cities during halftime. The airing of “Proud to Be”, produced by the National Congress of American Indians, marks the first time the ad has run before such a wide-reaching television audience.

“In my opinion the R-word is as derogatory a slur as the N-word”, says Chairman Marshall McKay in this video released by the Yocha Dehe Wintun. Watch more below about their reasons for joining with the Change the Mascot campaign.
