20 Outstanding Photos from the Jim Preston Memorial Pow Wow

This year marked the 19th annual Oroville Pow Wow which is held Memorial Day weekend at Gold Country Casino, in Oroville, California. Official Photographer for the event was Paula Schultz, whose beautiful photos we have featured on our website before. She talks briefly about the pow wow and shares her footage from the event.

This year's Pow Wow took place to honor Jim Preston (Pit River/Wintun/Washoe/Northern Paiute) who passed last year. Jim's family and friends attended from all across the country including Wyoming, Utah, Washington, Nevada, Ohio, Idaho, Arizona and California.

Jim will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, and his acceptance of everyone.
