In what's being dubbed Clash of the Clans, ‘Comanche Boy' George Tahdooahnippah (34-1) will take on Patrick Nielsen (23-1) in a WBA International Super Middleweight Championship showdown. The two fighters are scheduled for a 12 round bout this Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen Denmark.
In case you're unfamiliar with Comanche Boy, here's a little background on the boxer. Tahdooahnippah is an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation and is also of Choctaw descent. Growing up in Oklahoma he was surrounded by sports and competed in baseball, football and wrestling. While wrestling he earned the honor of a Cadet Greco-Roman All-American, placing 7th in the United States. He won many wrestling titles, including a tour to Japan, representing Oklahoma as an Oklahoma All Star. His achievements landed him a full wrestling scholarship at Delaware State University. After excelling in wrestling as a youth he turned his attentions to kickboxing and eventually boxing.
Undefeated in his boxing career, Tahdooahnippah (28-0-1) won the WBC Continental America's middleweight title July 16th by second round KO of Jimmy Holmes.
