I don't know about you, but I see nothing “Pro-Native” about this shirt.
The popular metal band Mastodon offered up a Thanksgiving themed t-shirt for sale and has defended it as an image that will raise consciousness to the Native side of the Thanksgiving myth. The t-shirt depicts a smiling man in Pilgrim garb aiming a shotgun at a Native woman in skimpy clothing who is on her knees, wearing an expression of shock, and offering him a Thanksgiving turkey.

That t shirt should be burnt that is so bad I come from the cree tribe and that show disrespect the war is over haven’t you hurt us enough
Not only is it pro-native (“Indians” aren’t indigenous of the north American continent, they migrated across the land-bridge), but it’s downright anti-W.A.S.P. If anything, it propagates the liberal myth about the pilgrims exploiting the peoples of the new world after the first harvest.
That’s as “PRO- NATIVE” as CRAZY HORSE MALT LIQUOR!! As usual, not much in the way of THOUGHT goes into these ventures, again “FOR SALE” being the operative term. Let me venture a guess, it probably started out with…”WOULDN’T IT BE COOL IF…..” I’ll betcha they were sitting around with “S–T eatin grins on their faces! It’s all about the money NOT awareness. They’re a band, make a statement before you perform at your venue! Write a song about the plight of the real “Merika”
