Asjha Tveter is a Teen Jingle Dress dancer from North Dakota who has been dancing in the powwow circle for 9 years. She started dancing with encouragement from her mother in Tiny Tots, and moved on to Fancy Shawl, and finally to Jingle Dress where her heart is now.
“My life wouldn't be the same without dance. I love to dance for me, but really I dance for those who can't dance themselves. I made a promise to my Grandmother before she passed away, to never stop dancing.”
She really enjoys coming to Gathering of Nations.
She said it's a good powwow and a lot of fun.
