RG Harris Mens Fancy Dance Special

Posted By Michael Gabbard May 31st, 2013 Last Updated on: May 31st, 2013

The family of RG Harris wants to honor him for return to dancing. Its been a while since he last competed.

RG has been working at Riverside Indian School as an assistant high school boys basketball coach which consumes most of his time. RG surprised everyone, in a good way, by dancing with his daughter Amanda as she served as head lady dancer for the Wild Band of Comanche's powwow in April. He was hit by “powwow fever” and now has the itch to travel again.

The Red Earth Pow-wow committee asked him to serve as the MC for this years powwow.  The family wants to honor the Red Earth Pow-wow committee and RG by hosting a Fancy Dance Special on his behalf.

The special is for all Men Northern and Southern styles of Fancy Dancers.

First prize is $800.00, a horse, Pendleton blanket, and a jacket. There will be also two consolation to be awarded a cash prize and jackets as well.
