Pride Toronto’s Inaugural Two-Spirit Rainbow Pow Wow

Back in July, Pride Toronto celebrated Indigenous culture with its very first Two-Spirit Rainbow Pow Wow. On this very special evening the community enjoyed Indigenous art, culture and music, while celebrating the Two-Spirit community. Two-Spirit dancers were invited to dance alongside DJ Shub (formerly of A Tribe Called Red) and take in special performances by Two-Spirit artist Shawnee and JUNO award-winning duo Digging Roots.

Digital Drum video was on hand to document the inaugural event and it looks like the promoters did a great job for their first run. Take a look at some interviews with the performers!
