About Paula

Photography is my calling and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday. I don’t photograph subjects, I photograph the way they make me feel & how I perceive them in my mind's eye. I often grapple with almost every image I shoot. I presume perfection is achievable and I strive for that in every picture. If that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me very, very well.

I am the winner of the prestigious Sundial Film Festival Award  my work has appeared in and on the covers of numerous publications including, California Northern, California State Parks Foundation, Empirical, Enjoy, North State Parent, The Aviation Historian, and California Delta Magazines Seecalifornia.com, Indian Country Today Media Network.

I think the Powwow I just went to was the most beautiful thing I have seen and experienced. I felt drawn in by the Great Spirit and I feel like the Native Americans are honorable people. I would love to know more about them. My children and husband have Apache blood. We attended The Powwow in Louisiana on August 2 and 3 2013. It was fantastic and we will be attending more. I Loved it and may the Great Spirit bestow more Power to the Native Americans!!
