Finally ….!!
This afternoon I picked up an issue of the SF Weekly (a San Francisco based publication) and to my surprise I found something really cool, it was a note from the Outside Lands Music Festival committee letting there festival attendees know that, “Girl With Native American Headdress” , aren't welcome to their event! Here's what it read:
“You are a person who enjoys wearing Native American headdresses to music festivals. You are horribly uneducated about actual Native American culture and apparently have no shame. Don't Come”
How amazing is that? It's nice to know there are some groups out there listening.
The Outside Lands Music Festival is a major 3 day music event held inside the Golden Gate Park of San Francisco, California. www.sfoutsidelands.com

Praise to Wakan Takan……..finally someonehad the GUTS to stand up for American Native culture. If she wanted to be an Indian, wear a single feather with a head band..This is a lesson of RESPECT, hoping she learned something from it. I do hope the people who baned her explained what was wrong and why women do not a wear head dress UNLESS it was earned.
I’ve seen some conversations about this subject in threads regarding Burning Man too. 70,000 people are harder to corral though I would think. >_<
