Native Americans Try On “Indian” Halloween Costumes

Posted By Toyacoyah Brown October 20th, 2015 Last Updated on: October 31st, 2018

Buzzfeed Videos just released a new video with Natives, this time getting them to talk about those horribly obnoxious “Indian” costumes we always see during Halloween.

And they actually had folks try them on!

These Natives have stronger nerves than I do.

I could never put any of these costumes on!

Like one guy said, “I feel like I need a really big shower after wearing this crap.”

Seriously!

Luckily I have not seen someone wearing these costumes during the Halloween season or out at a party.

But you know I would be throwing some serious side eye if I did!

What will you or your kids be wearing for Halloween this year?

Although I don’t enjoy people making fun of anybody, I do allow for ignorance…especially when I see people who are wanting to be like us. The sexy ones are quite amusing because they just don’t get that our people are just born that way…hahaha. S r riously though, I enjoy anytime I get a chance to educate others about our people…whether ignorance or actual curiosity.

I absolutely love that you post these videos of Native People commenting on things most non-natives take for granted.
