According to a post from Indie Wire, XLrator Media has acquired all rights to a new documentary called Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation. The documentary focuses on the 2015 season of the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team.
This culminates in the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships, which were held on the grounds of an Indian Reservation for the first time (coincidentally, in Onondaga in upstate New York, the Capitol of the Iroquois Confederacy). The documentary focuses on the spiritual importance of lacrosse to the Iroquois Confederacy, which is a central part of their heritage and one they consider to be a “medicine game” given to them by the Creator.

No word on exact release details but it will be available for viewing November 2016 as part of Native American Heritage Month. I can't wait to see it!
