Meet the Pow Wow Dancers Behind the Electric Pow Wow

CBC Arts shot a great video with the pow wow dancers you see front and center at every A Tribe Called Red show.

Angela Miracle Gladue (a.k.a. Lunacee) and Matthew Wood (a.k.a. Creeasian) are the Indigenous dancers that take centre stage at A Tribe Called Red's high energy live shows. In full regalia, they light up the crowd and don't stop moving until everybody else has run out of steam. They're both from Alberta, and they agree that bringing their dance to all the venues they can is vital — not only to showcase the traditions of all the nations but for what it brings back to them, the faces they see in the audience.
