Starr Chief Eagle, daughter of famous hoop dancer Dallas Chief Eagle, Jr., was on hand at the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota to celebrate Native American Day this past Monday. Students from around the area visited the site to learn a bit more about Native American culture.
Starr Chief Eagle says, “One thing that's important to me is not only to educate people about Lakota culture, but to also have them experience it in a good, positive, and fun way.”
TV station KEVN Black Hills FOX was at the Crazy Horse Memorial and captured some great footage and interviews with everyone. Check it out!
It looks like the kids had a great time experiencing the dance first hand!
