On February 28th, the Haskell Indian Nations University Women's Basketball Team (23-6) of Lawrence, Kansas., won their A.I.I (Association of Independent Institutions) Conference with a resounding 80 – 75 victory over the College of the Ozarks in the Championship game, the College of Ozarks came into the tournament ranked 3rd in the country. The Lady Indians were lead by Kelli Warrior with 23 points, a 6'1 Jr. Center from White Eagle, Oklahoma. (ndnsports)
With this victory, the Haskell Women's Basketball team move on to the NAIA Division II National Championship on March 9 – 15 in Sioux City, Iowa.
The HINU's Women's Basketball Team is lead by 5th year coach – Shane Flanagan.
