Get to Know This Hoop Dancer in Upcoming Documentary!

South Dakota Public Broadcasting is currently working on a movie about the life of world champion hoop dancer Jasmine Pickner-Bell. She has performed at the Buffalo Roundup since she was a child traveling with her father and fellow hoop dancer, Dallas Chief Eagle.

In this quick video clip, she talks with SDPB about integrating a formerly all-male art form & an upcoming movie about her life. She’s accompanied by members of the North Bear Singers — her husband Luke Bell & son Kane Big Lake.

I didn't see any other news about the name of the documentary or when it will be released but we will definitely let you know when we see it!

Jasmine Bell

Hello, I appreciate the great support. I just would like to clarify the wording about my movie. It will actually be a narrative movie with actors and actresses playing roles about the story of my life. Thank you once again. JASMINE BELL
