Haskell Indian Nations University held their 2015 Graduation Ceremony this past Friday. Congratulations to all the Spring 2015 graduates out there. This year marked Haskell's 130th year of providing education and opportunity to Native American communities across the nation.

The Lawrence Journal-World captured some great photos and soundclips from the Haskell commencement.

U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell delivered the commencement address. Secretary Jewell is the first Secretary of the Interior to speak at Haskell Indian Nations University. As Secretary of the Interior, Jewell upholds trust responsibilities to the 566 federally recognized American Indian tribes and Alaska Natives. Jewell also serves as chair of the White House Council on Native American Affairs.
