Big congratulations go out to Native filmmaker Kyle Bell! His short documentary, “Defend The Sacred”, set out to capture the spirit of Indigenous people at Standing Rock. The film must have also captured the hearts of audiences members and judges at the Seattle International Film Festival as it won the SIFF 2017 Golden Space Needle Award for best Best Short Film.
