Orlando “O.B.” Begay had the honor of being head man dancer at the Haskell Welcome Back Pow Wow this past weekend. He expressed his sincere gratitude of the honor on his Facebook page after the event.
“Saturday night was truly a beautiful experience. Good vibes. Big crowd. It was an honor to have been head man dancer for Haskell. A school that is special to so many people all across Indian country. Thankful to represent my family and our native people. My chicken special went smoothly and I'm grateful for those who danced in my special and for the the drum group, Hay Maker, for jammin for us. Thank you all for the support, encouragement, and opportunity. Aho!”
Marcy Frank captured the special moments on video for all of us to enjoy!
And don't miss this two man chicken battle!
If you'd like to see some more of O.B.'s chicken dance in person, it looks like he'll be hitting up the Sioux Empire Wacipi which will be held Feb. 26-28, 2016 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Have fun!
