Arrests at #NoDapl Gathering Include Actress Shailene Woodley Who Livestreamed Event

A lot of folks were out on Indigenous People's Day fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

About 200 people were at a construction site speaking out against the pipeline when police started arresting people for trespassing. Actress Shailene Woodley, who has starred in such movies as Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars, has been very vocal about her stance on the pipeline and has joined in with others who are fighting against its construction. She was at the construction site Monday and was one of 27 people arrested.

Her publicist tells E! News, “She appreciates the outpouring of support, not only for her, but more importantly, for the continued fight against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.”
