For those of us in the northern part of the continent, this winter has been unbearable to say the least. So when I saw videos floating around the Internet of people jumping in the icy cold waters as part of a Winter Challenge, I thought, everyone had lost their minds!
The idea of jumping in frigid waters is not new, as there have been plenty of other people taking polar plunges at various fundraising events throughout the country, but this is a bit more personal as you can nominate (or dare) family members and friends to take the winter challenge. The idea is to jump into water and dunk your head under, or jump into a snow bank and make snow angels in your bathing suit if no water is around. You then challenge someone else to do the same and they have 24 hours to complete the challenge. Are you ready? Check out some of the videos we've found.
There's a Facebook Group with over 2,000 members where you can upload your videos to share with everyone. Let us know if you've taken the winter challenge or know someone who has.
