Wes Studi wasn't the only Native American on stage during the 2018 Oscars! Before this year there had only been 1 Native American on stage.
Alice, despite her young age, has been an outspoken activist for Standing Rock. She ran from the Standing Rock Sioux reservation to Washington DC to raise awareness of the need for clean water.
Alice was honored as an activist during Common's performance of the Oscar-nominated song “Stand Up For Something”. Common brought 10 activists on stage.
