It is that time of year again. The First Nations University of Canada celebrates it's 36th Annual competition pow wow on April 12-13, 2014. The First Nations University of Canada is the only Indigenous institution in Canada and is proud to host one of the largest in Western Canada and best pow wows of the season. It is also considered the kick off pow wow in Canada. The pow wow is located in Regina Saskatchewan at the Brandt Centre. It is completely organized by students, staff and faculty.
Last year we had over 5,000 people show up to the pow wow and about 600 dancers, and that is a slow year. Previously there has been up to a 1000 dancers. It is broad cast live on TV on and a highlighted event of the cities tourism industry.
