Uniting North and South by honoring Native talent from all over the world, the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards has launched “Promote Your Vote”. Musical artists from a diverse array of Indigenous tribes and nations have been nominated for awards in a variety of categories. “To be nominated for an album I dedicated to my grandparents twice this year, both US and Canada, now is an honor for all the people I do it for,” announced White Elk about his nomination. “This Aboriginal Nomination is for all nations.”
Nominees echoed with similar enthusiasm as they encouraged fans to support their favorite entertainers. Utilizing social media and traditional PR, artists reach out to engage fans in a “Promote Your Vote” campaign. “We are in major crunch time,” according to APCMA Manager Jacquie Black. Free online voting is available to the public and is open until 11:59 (CST) on July 19,2013. A stunning awards ceremony will take place on August 17 and 18,2013 at the MTS Center in Winnipeg,MB.
The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards spotlights some of the musical artists who dedicate themselves to performing.
