13 Native American Baby Shower Gifts | Clothes, Blankets & More

I don't know if it's just me, but 2014 seems to be the year of the baby. Every day I see a new baby announcement going out or cute baby photos to fawn over. So in honor of all the little ones I decided to gather up some of the most adorable baby items I've seen lately, Native-style of course!

Every kid needs a teddy bear! These cute bears come from Pendleton. Shown above is the Yuji Patchwork and the Coyote Butte Luck Bear.

I think most of us in the family got the hand-me-down moccasins. But in case you don't have an auntie or grandma to make them for you, check out this wide variety of infant moccasins on Kitigan's website.

Or if you'd rather go for a softer baby shoe check out these baby booties made from Pendleton Virgin Wool from Oregon Wool Traders. A variety of colors to choose from!

BathToys

Tired of the boring rubber ducky? Then make bath time more fun with this bath toy set from Salish Style. It comes with a Sea Lion, Frog, Duck and Beaver!

PendletonHoodedTowel

Now that you're done with the bath it's time to dry off baby. How about getting them this Raven Sunburst hooded towel from Pendleton? My only wish is they had them in adult sizes! Hooded towels are also available in four other designs.

It's never too early to start reading to your little ones. This sturdy Board Book Set from Salish Style will help out new parents at story time.

One of our favorite clothing lines, N8V Couture, offers their popular Sitting Bull Star and Definitely Native t-shirt designs on onesies! The Definitely Native onesie also comes in red, grey or yellow.

BabyTie

This Etsy shop from SheLah Nanabah Designs has several cute baby items. First up is this adorable baby tie onesie with a Native print.

BabyBibs

Next are these washable baby bibs with 5 patterns to choose from. They're going to get messy, so they might as well look great doing it!

PuppetMoose

When baby starts crying you need a fun distraction. Try out one of these cute plush puppets from Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Sixteen different animals to choose from! I'm partial to Mo the Moose.

BabyCard

And last but not least, you'll need a card to go with your gift. Here's a lovely Kwakwaka'wakw design of baby feet. Cards can be found in the Love in Everything Etsy shop. Design is all blue, all pink or combo as shown above.

Hopefully you've gotten some ideas for what to get the next little one that comes into your life. Any thing to help out the new family is always appreciated, but of course nothing beats the gift of your presence. Doing the dishes or cooking a nice meal will never be turned down!

The onesies and the bib are really cute. I agree that baby must have a teddy bear, but what if the mom-to-be don’t want a stuffed toy in her shower? It’s hard to pick a gift that the expectant would prefer. Well, this one is very helpful. Thanks.
