Native Actor Wes Studi Honors Veterans At Oscars…And Speaks Cherokee On Stage!

Last night Wes Studi became the 2nd Native American to speak at the Oscars.

Before this week, there has been little Native American participation in the annual Oscars.  Sacheen Littlefeather accepted an Oscar on behalf of Marlon Brando in 1973.  2016 Leonardo DiCaprio mentioned Indigenous People in his speech.

Wes Studi changed that by honoring veterans and speaking his Cherokee Language.
