Qualla Boundary Warroriors

MIEG's first Powwow in 1995 began with the posting of colors by the Qualla Boundary Warriors. This Eastern band of Cherokee combat veterans served as our first Color guard.

A color guard is composed of veterans and are the first to enter the Powwow arena. They are the most honored participants and are charged with the duty to bring the flags that represent us into the ceremony.
