Language Forum
Hey Paul,
I know language has been discussed alot, as far as importance for keeping it alive to help tribes keep their traditions/ceremonies alive. The best way to help that is for more people to learn the languages. So why not start a forum just for languages, or maybe a sub-forum under Native Life? There are already egroups on Yahoo, at least for Anishinaabe, I don't know about the other languages, but honestly yahoo is kind of antiquated, and honestly I do not use the egroups much anymore. So how about it? What does everyone else think? Are there enough people on here to support a language forum? Would anyone here use it? I for one would, because I would like to learn Anishinaabe, and this is about the only way for now that I can learn, aside from my dictionaries. Derek |

Heck yeah!!....It would be great!.Most of the Apache I know is casual conversation or"table talk"(the same with the Cheyenne)and hardly use it unless there's another speaker.I for one would love to see this. It'll also be a way to learn some of the slang that has popped up lately(keeping it clean of course)on some of the rez's.You got my vote....keep smilin'1
