Lenape Audio Language Files

I am looking for Lenape audio files so I may learn to speak this language as a second language. I am a poor man and I would like to either download these type of files or be sent an audio CD of them. Anybody that can offer me this information, it would be greatly appreciated. I would even be willing to learn this language from somebody, if they live close by, by personal contact. This will help me to be a more natural person that I can feel comfortable with, not just as myself but, with others as well.

Alas, I know of no freely available Lenape audio, BUT if you use the FREE iTunes prg for either Windows or Apple you can subscribe to my Mohawk Language Podcast, if subscribing isn't for you checkout the webpage at

Whoa so you're the one that does the mohawk podcast, urban? I think that's pretty cool. I can't afford an ipod yet haha, but I think it's good to use the technology to help teach the language.

Hen Yes I am the one doing the Mohawk Language Podcast BUT, an iPod is NOT neccessary to listen to Podcasts, they are MP3's so can be played on ANY Mp3 player or even your home computer.
I don't own an iPod either, too blasted much $$$ I have an iRiver 380T I paid $25 for on Ebay. Tho I tend to use my Gambeoy Movie Player more now, it plays Videos Music Nintendo games and even lets you read Text files. Was $24 but you need a Game boy advance and a Compact Flash card to use with it. Right now I've got a bunch of Eyabay and Black Lodge songs on it, some Engadget Podcasts, an OLD B&W movie named "I killed Wild Bill Hickock" and a couple dozen Ebooks in Text Format. Most of em from Project Gutenberg IOW FREE Books!

Whoa you can do all that on a GBA? I didn't know that! I'll check ebay for the mp3 player. I do like how the ipod looks all snazzy haha.

Yeah i've listened to some of your podcasts using winamp. What do you use to record? Cuz when i record using the windows recorder it comes as a .wav file. I don't know what to use to change it into mp3.

Kwe KFGirl, I use the Freeware prg Audacity with the LAME library(for Mac or Windows) added to encode to MP3. Works very well and Hen, YES you can do all that with the GBA and the GBA Movie Player ;-)

Well it's always nice to have a good reputation, anywhere! See those little green boxes (a lot of people call them beads) underneath your name, that's your reputation. If people like a post or an action you did, they can give you rep points by clicking on the icon that looks like a tiny scale underneath your gender icon. Green beads been you have a good rep and red beads mean you have a bad rep. Gray beads are neutral, i think they mean that people whose reps aren't high enough have given you points.

Your rep points get added to your total number of points, and with points you can "buy" cool stuff, like changing the color of your username or "buying" a ribbon that is displayed underneath your name. You can click on "Points" on the bar that's on the top of your screen that says "Users CP, FAQ, Members List..." etc.

Anyway you can see all the people who have given you rep by clicking on User CP. Oh and when you're giving rep it's good etiquette to put your name so the person knows who the rep is coming from. Otherwise they won't be able to tell who gave it to them.

You can go to the officia site of the Delaware tribe of oklahoma.

They have some words on audio.

I am from Philadelphia pa. I live in Florida now.

been here for 32 years.

I have Lenape heritage.
