maybe this has been done before... but i'm going thru my old folder n found this...

Murphy's Laws of Combat Operations
Author Unknown

1. Friendly fire - isn't
2. recoilless rifels- aren't
3. suppressive fires - won't
4. you are not superman; marines and fighter pilots take note
5. a sucking chest wound is natures way of telling you to slow down
5. if it's stupid but it works it isn' tstupid
7. try to look unimportatnt; the enemy maybe low on ammo and not want to waste a bullet on you
8. if at first you don't succeed callin an airstrike
9. if you are forward of your position, your artillery will fall short.
10. never share a foxhole with anyone braver than yourself.
11. hero's attract bullets. This ticks off others in your foxhole.
12. never forget that our weapon was made by the lowest bidder
13. if your attack is going really well, its an AMBUSH
14. The enemy difersion you're ignoring is their main attack
15. The enemy invariably attacks on two occassions a. when they're ready b. when you're not
16. No plan ever survives intitial contacts
17. there is no such thing as a perfect plan
18. 5 second fuses always burnin 3 seconds
19. a retreating enemy is probably just falling back and regrouping

Well, some of its true....with the Taliban and insurgents it doesn't matter if you are important or not....They kill anyone, innocents, soldiers, their own, etc. Seen it all and picked up their dead, and handed them off to the locals....sucks the most when its kids who pay the price.

And heroes...got nothing but respect for those who died in combat. They are the only true heroes in the madness called combat. Cause we have a saying in the grunts, war is hell, but combat is a m*therf*cker. And that ain't no lie.

yeah i was just going thru one of my OLD folders with things i still have from the army days.. n came across that.

but of course i haven't been in a combat situation and the utmost respect for our soldiers ANYWHERE who serve. hoo-ah
