He and his family sound like really nice people. I hope his home town builds a monument to him. I'm sorry that you lost your friend 50, he was a true hero.

50, I can only imagine what you felt and still feel. Makes me think. Mixed emotions of sadness and admiration. I'm so very sorry you lost your best friend.
