Those were really nice. I had a picture of my dad when he was in the Army getting an award, that picture with one other very important one disappeared a few years ago. But I remember it well and will find it or whose got it.

those are some amazing pix ... the one lil girls green eyes are amazing brings to mind that one pic from national geographic from what 25 years ago?
these men and women are doing an amazing selfless thing for everyone

I remember my first tour, there was this little girl in this town, I gave her candy when we first took over, and she always there every day about 9am, looking for me... and if I wasn't there, she would wait for me to get back from patrol.....*L*....reminded me so much of my daughter...I gave her candy and one day I got a care package that my niece had sent me and in it she had put a little bear, I gave it to that little girl and you should have seen the smile on her face!!...She gave me a hug and I never saw her again....we left that night and moved on......I had a picture of her holding that bear and the big bag of candy I gave her.....

that is really a sweet story ... and i thank the Creator everyday that my own girls live where they do .. free to walk around outside without the fear of gun fire
