Pearl Harbor Day

Salute to all living and now deceased veterans who fought gallantly on this day....To the USS Arizona, which sits in the bay of Pearl Harbor...with her crew entombed aboard....

I was fortunate enough to visit this area when I was in Hawaii....it's an emotional place when you visualize what had happened that fateful day....and the effect it produced around the world....the dropping of Fat Man and Little Boy on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan...

To all Marines, Sailors and Soldiers that fought an impossible battle on this day, we salute you, our brothers and sisters in arms.....Semper Fi!!!

AMEN!!! I have seen the memorial as well, and have been to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I salute any and all who served in war.

I did a re-up ceremony on the Arizona Memorial. It was a awesome place to re-up back in April 2000. Hard to believe the oil is still seeping out of the hull of the USS AZ. And you can see the tower of the AZ on the Mighty Mo behind her.

Salute to all Pearl Harbor Veterans. If you haven't been to the Punchbowl Cemetery you should see it as well in Hawaii. There are alot of UNKNOWN buried there from the suprise attack that day that will live in infamy.

Oh yeah, another crazy thing was when the movie peeps were filming "PEARL HARBOR" there. I got to see a few Japanese Zeroes flying around the island, and was thinking what was going thru the minds of those who saw the planes that Sunday morning.

And the movie peeps also was doing the "WINDTALKERS" movie....at a later date of course.
