Arrow Make a difference...

Would you be interested in making a difference in the life of a young U.S. Marine?

The son of a friend of mine just turned 21. He has been in the Marine Corps for a little more than a year and he is on his first tour in Iraq. He's only been in Iraq for a month and a half, but since he's in an Infantry Unit, he says it feels as though he's been there for a lot longer.

Brett would love to hear from anyone in the States, so that he knows that what he is doing does not go un-noticed. He says most soldiers think that the majority of Americans don't care about them anymore, and have forgotten about them. He say's that the enthusiasm and support from the States is not what it used to be in the first year of the war.

Recently he said that it's getting hotter over there as summer approaches and needs things like sun screen, insect repellant, and lots of hard candies.

Should you be interested in writing letters of encouragement or sending care packages, just send me a PM and I'll give you his mailing address.

Wopila

P.S. Should you know of a soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan, my wife and I would be interested in write letters of encouragement and send care packages to them as well. Just PM us with their APO or FPO mailing address and we'll be glad to add them to our list.
