Just hypothetically, if we as natives were put in a situation similar to the japanese in WWII, and an uprising army of natives were to fight the U.S. nowadays, whose side would you fight for? if there were no other way out of armed conflict.

Man, you gots some issues. LOL Jus playin....Anyways, since already having had served with the US Marines, I would have to say natives, because a lot of natives are former or currently active duty. Probably get our a$$e$ kicked but, if we have someone who knew strategy, troop movement, logistical evolutions and weapons, oh and also knowledge of the land, we could give give em a hell of a fight. LOL

I dunno an aweful lot of skins served in the military and I know alot have skills and lay of the land better. The mix bloods would be able to meld into the population and cause problems in the urban centers and skins could also melt into the latino communities too. It would be a mess the tribes are all over.

Might I retort that I would die in the mountains before succumbing to the fate of total urbanization. However in this hypothetical situation, presuming this is happening in the here and now, combat would largely be in the favor of the opposing side. I mean seriously, when was the last time you met a Native who knew how to build an atom bomb??? That thought alone would convince me to annul the aforementioned retort.

yeah but they couldnt nuke us without killing a whole lot of whites. Also the political repercussions of nuking in your own country would be astronomical.

I know this is just a dumb "what if" type thing, I just wanted to know or see how people would react, y'know all the natives out there saying they support everything or most everything about this united states government. I'm sure they won't drop any massive bombs on us. I'ts a delicate matter...... Family or country? which comes first? american first? or tribe first. Where do war dances come from? war medicine? Fighting with words or arms it always seems that tribes are constantly fighting a losing battle. sometimes. anyways, unity would be a miracle.

yes it would be a miracle if we united tecumseh and pontiac tried as did Crazy horse but were all pulled down by their own people. We didnt lose the war we shot ourselves.

Well since i'm still in this crazy fantasy dream, I'd like to throw in another molotov. How 'bout if the U.S. were invaded by another country/civilization and they promised natives a bunch of stuff for fighting alongside with them against the United states? something like reservations as states or something like that, which in fact is supposed to be what reservations are supposed to be any way; a state within a state, or better yet giving a lot of land and control back to natives. then what? huh? HUH? Ennit?

Naw, now if we got invaded by a foreign country I would definietly fight alongside the US war machine (rocks!!).... as for theere promises of them giving us back our lands???That'll be bul$hit!!!! Look at what happened the last time we listened to someone promising us something????LOL

Hi, first let me say this is my first time posting and Hope not to offend anyone with my words.

As for my family we would have to stand along side other brother and sisters. There is not much to fight for now but what is left is all there is. Some of us got into a discussion much like this a few weeks back. As my granddaughter is up for enrollment she is the last of her line unless she marries and births another near her bloodline. I asked what would happen when and if the last of the enrollment were to come to an end? Seems all the reserved indian lands reverts back to the government?
There will be alot of stranded culturally starving people looking for a SAFE place to pray, if ya get my meaning. And that's always worth fighting for.

after all ain't that what wars are all about anyway, who's God(s) are mighter?

Did anyone hear where the prisoners were being forced to except christ, force feed pork, and made to kneeled before a dog until they renounced thier religion?

Darn did I get off the subject....lol.... So anyway to answer the question, I know we would stand with induns.
