hi i just wanted to say that the white man has made it almost impossible to live any other way but theirs. that said,
i joined because i had no skill, didn't know what i wanted to be when i grew up. i needed money, to keep food in my belly, and in my son's. to support a family in the white mans' world you have to do it his way. so if you are still in high school or junior high, and reading this. please stick with school and get your education. now that i'm 27 and i know what i want to do "when i grow up" maybe i won't have to re-enlist,and if i decide to make the military my rez, so be it. i didn't sign to fight a "white man's war". maybe there is no honor in this, but my babies get fed, they have a roof over their head, they get their shots and checkups. and i don't care what anyone else's opinion is about me bein' in the military. i don't feel conflicted at all. and if you haven't noticed.....the laws and the constitution and the greed are going to allow the white man's way of life, to destroy itself.... mad props to Jibby for bein' so opinionated, having conviction in her beliefs. and stirbaby for differing views. :duel12:

Couple things.:: I got locked out of a military forum, that was a civilian forum actually. It just catered to military minded cruits, newbe's the like. I spoke what I understood as truth also. I just got too close to the bullseye. So I got the boot. I served in the Airborne, you know who would be stupid enough to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.? Now the Airborne is glory "All the Way" I just got a new book " 82nd Airborne (The Guard of Honor.) I called up the editor in Georgia, just to tell him, in my eyes the book was outstanding. 2 times I told him that. Another editor refused to sell the new book because it was not acceptable. In his eyes. He sent all the books back to the co. Which he had contracted to sell. Now if that aint a slamm I have never saw one. Different folks , really do have different strokes. I don't intend to argue your issues Maybe I'll pick on you another time!!?? Luck GES.

I think this should be posted to Stir Baby. Didn't make a note. True I'll say your anscestors were victims. As being tricked.! The early USA Government failed in their actions, as regards, Native Americans, this for sure. I speak W/ the knowledge that in their entirety,the books I've read, on the subject, do indicate this was the norm. Our troops In my opinion, DO NOT kill children knowingly, now or for the feeling of killing them. If this information, is true, many , many service people in the military would flat out revolt. IMO The American Flag is the symbol of thousands on both side wounded, and killed for in their lifetimes. IMO It is a symbol carried as representative of what we know as the Free World. Not knowing too much about Geronimo, and Sitting Bull as yet. Either could rate a slot in any of the 3 classes mentioned.Terriost, patriot,Freedom Fighter.!! It depends on the situation, mainly. IMO To my knowledge the 2 of them were major obstacles to the early government of US.IMO.Therefore they were considered fair game for our troops, and our government. The need being personified by complaints to the US Government, as to these 2's activities, as to warring tribes. Warring against the early settlers. Or so that is the thought that was indicated. Where moreso the shoe was on the wrong foot. In many cases the settlers, had erroneous imformation. But not to them. It could quickly spread even in those days as quickly as a neighbor or other spoke about it in normal conversation. IMO. About all can come up w/ just at this time. GES

Greetings, Jeefizz. Seems to me you have a burr in your britches.!! Now seems to me your laying it on pretty hard, where you show no respect. I understand your mentality quite a bit, from recent confrantations, I've experienced for a while. Myself I feel that money as regards, military slots is taboo. A new recruit in my opinion, in any service are motivated to suggestions of the highest pay for the slot, other than suitability for the slot.This I can't get out of my craw.!! The military until they fill the alloted slots , pampers and caters to these , can't even call them newbees. But the truth is this. They will train unless actually after basic, the slot is full. Then right shortly no more bonus, because your not going to be doing that work. The kids want money to pay off college fees. Student loans. I'm not sure how these bonus plans work . I signed up for 3 years, No Bonus. I wanted without any prepping to go Airborne. Which I got. Now a high bonus is being paid for what I wanted W/ out anykind of bonus or incentive. I qualifed Parachutist. Once Airborne, always Airborne. But first you have to qualify. In my fevering about this I've forgotten the body of the post I'm replying to.Sorry about that.
