Timing out?

Maybe Paul will have to be the one who can help me with this or if all you moderators now but I am getting kind of ticked off :D

The last few nights I will respond to a thread, do my reply and when I'm all done typing, go to submit it, I get the page that I am unregistered and need to relog in and then I lose everything I just typed. That's happened to me about 5 times in the past week. I'm just wondering why it does that.

It seems to be happening when I'm typing longer than minute.

Is there anything I can do to prevent it besides trying to type faster than I already do:Chatter

Your help is very much appreciated!

it 1 of 3 things :

1. either you live to close to Mato :D

2. you need to go to control panel into internet options and clear your cookies,delete files and clear history, or

3. Server been busy with a lot of people online.

Frankly I'd blame Mato :D :devil , but probably a busy server, but it wouldn't hurt to do number 2:D

Very simple procedure.

Go to edit options. Check yes on "Automatically login when you return to site?"

That should do it. I'm a kiwehnzii and even I know that. Aye J/K

The problem with the server is that something (Google, Yahoo, etc) is hitting us a few times a week indexing the pages. Which is good because the content gets listed in thier searches, but it is very server intensive.

To keep yourself from timing out, open to IE windows. Open on to:

http://www.powwows.com/gathering/online.php

This page refreshes every few minutes, keeping you logged in.

I use windowwasher at least once a week so I know it's not the cookies thing LOL

and Leave Mato alone! :p lol
