Who's your favorite straight dancer?
ME!
ME! ME! ME!..... ME TOO! (catch that Matrix reference?) Why? Cause I'm always just cuttin' up! BWAAA HA HA HA HA! Couldn't resist that.... gaw :large: Seriously, gotta say Larry McCurtain.... guy just has moves, plus some nice clothes (though I gotta tease him 'bout his bright orange shirt.... same color as the jumpsuits from Caddo County Jail! ay!)... hardly get to watch him though when I gotta go up against him, though he is in more of the senior/golden age categories lately.....

Ralph Haymond, Jr. .........he is the MAN!! hands down.
I could watch him all night long. He is soo smooth and has his own sophisticated style. Please remember him in your prayers for his speedy recovery from the auto accident so we can see him in the arena once again. |

another one...
Props to Denny Medicine Bird too.... cool style, looks like he's a puppet on strings..... though he might have a bit too much of the "hop" that folks don't like. Anyway, a (relatively) young guy already making older guys sweat and kick it up a level.

I thought Straight Dancers were supposed to be smooth and stately when they dance. Not looking some kinda ways. Some of these dancers appear to be more of a race horse, running around the arena, rather than dancing. Just my own opinion -- don't want to cause a fuss. |

I would have to say that the best straight dancer are:
Ralph Hammond Michael Plumley Kiowa Cozad Kelly Switch Justin Yearby Larry McCurtain Warren Queton Stratford Williams Archie Mason Daryl Moore Nashoba Simmons Terry Tsotigh ........but the all around best straight dancer would have to be none other than Daryl Wildcat. I sat next to him at the University of Texas powwow and he was the bomb. I had never seen someone so intense when they dance. It was just SWEET! Dance on to all you straight dancers A-HO!
