The dancers of Brule' & AIRO
Every time I've seen Brule' & AIRO (American Indian Rock Opera) live, or on tape (youtube), I've been really impressed with the dancing. Taking traditional dancing and setting it to non-traditional music gives it a new twist, and it brings pow wow type dancing to an audience that might not otherwise ever see it. My question is though, are the dancers of Brule' well known? I'm sure they must have danced pow wow at one time or even still do. In other words...are they at all famous to you?

Thirza Defoe has ties here on my rez, I remember her when she was little. She's grown to be quite pretty, as well as talented.

I saw Thirza Defoe hoop dance at a powwow in California (i think) prolly 6 or so years ago. I remember her because of her little talk before she danced. She said something like " if thirza will, thirza way".

Thirza blows us away. The first time we saw the concert, while everyone stood around the band getting autographs, my wife went chasing after Thirza...LOL. She also seems to be a genuinely nice person as well.
